ARTISTIC JOURNEYS

A thank you to the city of Keller for hosting our exhibition of a coalition of members in the Pastel Society of the Southwest. We shared our artistic explorations in multiple mediums.

It is paramount for an artist to work from life, and in my case, this has meant countless hours in the landscape observing and recording scenes in oil and watercolor. My pastels were created from the oil studies that were displayed along with the plein air pieces.

HOLIDAY MARKET

Thank you to all of the patrons and friends who stopped by for the North Haven Gardens Holiday Art and Gift Market. The weather for the December 2, 2017 event was perfect. My continuing appreciation for the staff at NHG who organized this event and made it possible to showcase the many types of art I create.

Storm Imminent

PASTEL SOCIETY OF THE SOUTHWEST

My pastel, Storm Imminent, has been juried into the 2017 PSSW National Juried Exhibition. I am honored that our show judge, Jen Evenhus, selected my painting to be included.

This depiction of the Bunker Sands Wetlands received the Landscape Award. A sincere thank you to our generous donors - Chartpak and Holbein for the prize. I can never have enough pastels.

We were once again delighted that our juried exhibition was held at the beautiful Tower Gallery in the Convention and Visitors Bureau in Grapevine, TX for the month of October. Our PSSW Juried Exhibition showcases the best of pastel paintings from our members and nationally known artists.

Join us for a meeting. Visit www.PSSW.info for times, locations and more about pastel

SOUTHEWESTERN WATERCOLOR SOCIETY

It is an honor to have been selected for the Spotlight on the Artist of the Month in the April SWS Scene newsletter. This very active group of watercolorists continues to enrich my painting life. Read the full article -

Thanks SWS!

The GALLERY at NORTH HAVEN GARDENS

My artwork was on display for the inaugural opening of this new gallery space last year. Their focus is on expanding the interest in local art and promoting a lifestyle enhanced by gardening, nature and the environment.

I am delighted that NHG is working with me to offer ongoing watercolor and sketching classes. These are great fun as students get a chance to explore their creative side and I get the chance to share my enthusiasm for all things painting and gardening. The Facebook link on the top of the pages of my website has the most up to date information, but check here.

POSTERS

Haddad's Fine Arts, of Anaheim California has published posters of three of my pastel landscapes. The series was inspired by trips along the gulf coast and my fascination for the varied lush greenery along the waterways. They are 20 x 24 inch heavy weight poster. These are available from national suppliers of fine art posters.
